The Chief Of Defence Staff, General Sarath Fonseka who has also been appointed as the Secretary Ministry of Sports is yet to accept the position, Sports Minister Gamini Lokuge said. "In fact I have sent out an Additional Secretary to check whether he is accepting the position", he said. There was no immediate comment from Gen Fonseka's office, about the speculation that he had rejected the post. Meanwhile former Sports Secretary S.Liyanagama has been appointed as the Secretary to the Ministry of Export Development and International Trade.
